From car park mishap to clean finish

I needed Bumper Scuff repair after a rushed moment left a fresh mark on my car, but what followed was a surprisingly simple fix that brought back the look.

It happened near Heaton Park on a crowded afternoon when I slightly clipped a low check here barrier while parking. The scratch looked deeper than expected, and I knew it would ruin the look if left.

Later that evening, I started looking around and came across AutoScratch. The site felt easy to follow, so I sent over a few snaps and a short explanation. I got a reply within a reasonable time with a quote that seemed reasonable, and we arranged a flexible time.

On the day, the technician arrived right when expected and walked me through the process in a approachable way. First, the damaged area was cleaned thoroughly to remove any dirt. Then came the sanding, which prepared the area. A small amount of filler was used since the scratch had a slight depth, and once that set, the colour matching began. I was impressed by how closely they matched the paint, it looked very close. The blending process followed, where the new paint was carefully blended into the surrounding area so there were no harsh lines. Finally, everything was polished, giving it a clean shine. Watching each step made me realise how much detail goes into what seems like a simple repair.

Once it was all done, the scratch was basically invisible unless I really looked for it. The whole experience felt easy to manage, especially since I did not need to leave home. The turnaround was well paced, and the workmanship was clearly precise. That said, I do think this kind of service is best for minor damage rather than anything too severe. For my situation though, it worked out exactly how I needed, and driving past Heaton Park again without noticing the scratch felt like a small win.
